Mobile Ads and Deals Best for Young Consumers

Smart phones and tablets are everywhere you look now, but their prevalence is even more ubiquitous among the younger set of consumers. In a recent study of 18-34 year olds, nearly half had clicked on a mobile ad in the past month. This is great news for any business that needs their Toronto business marketing strategy to specifically target younger consumers.

The findings additionally suggest that this demographic prefers the personal connections affiliated with social media marketing to traditional Toronto business marketing techniques. Yet, a large number of businesses are still failing to figure out the proper way to take advantage of these new techniques. Among the various mobile marketing techniques, sharable deals seem to be by far the most popular.  This is evidenced by the fact that the same study showed that fully half of the respondents had used smartphones to do just that. With more than 20% of those sharing more than once per month.

On top of that, 41% said they make the purchasing decisions based entirely on recommendations from friends and family, a 3% increase over those who say they are influenced by sales content. Even though there is clear evidence that the more young people base their purchases on recommendations from the ones they love and trust, that doesn’t mean that advertising doesn’t still play a major role.

If your organization isn’t taking full advantage of the recent advantages in social and mobile Toronto business marketing, you’re already missing out on a huge number of potential sales. Give us a call today and see what we can do to make sure that your marketing reaches every possible consumer.
